'falling into place' room
hey family. so i know i did the amazingly difficult task of putting up the blog and then let you guys do all the heavy lifting since. i promise i will try to be better. so anyway, since the main idea for the blog seems to be encouraging each other to accomplish our new years goals, i just want to say GO TEAM! i think i'm supposed to put up my list of goals and resolutions, some which i have been good at and some...well, not so much - but right now i am just trying to find a new job, keep myself from moving and have a better way of viewing things instead of being cynical when my life is completely not where i want it to be going. and have a clean room. i really think my main goal in life is to have a clean room. i've come to this conclusion because i seem to have been wrestling with it for the past 28 years (oh my gosh, has it really been 28 years!). and then maybe things would fall into place - though mainly because there would actually be room on the floor. so any suggestions would be helpful - whether about my cynical-new job-moving problems or room cleanliness. love you all!

I understand; room cleanliness is paramount to how you feel about yourself and your life. When your room in clean you feel in control and organized; when its not you don't know where to start on your life, so i say, start at your room. Its simple really, you just have to have classified places for things. Clothes never go on the floor put all the cds and books together on the right shelf or in the right box. Start with your bed, then you'll want to make the rest of the room match. put all loose papers together in a stack and when everything else in the room is done go through the papers and you'll find all these things you had to do that you forgot about like pay a bill, pay a ticket, call someone, etc. Now you can go and do all those things on those papers and you'll feel great after you do them cause you'll have accomplished something necessary and you'll be a good attitude and then you'll think to yourself "hmmm, yeah, i'm way happy, so happy I'm gonna see if Eric, my brother, will hook me up with his dashing portuguese teacher." Please, dont let this cousel go to waste :-D
Ha Ha! Love that Eric...Reese you really should consider the set up! Anyway, I try to just put away one or two things everytime I go in my room. Think about how many times you go in there a day...if you just put a couple away at a time then (and always put things back after you have used them so the mess doesn't expand) it will be clean in no time. Also, as mentioned before, put things away when you're done with them. Ex. I always hang up my clothes or fold them an put them away (or throw in the laundry) after I change so the piles at least don't get bigger. It helps me out a lot!
Hey thanks guys. I'll try to remember those handy tips. And while my current goal is still my room, I think we should make our next one be to get Jess to post on the blog.
Hear, hear! Jess seriously needs to write someting!
